7. – 9. 11.2022 // 2 pm – 6 pm // Kunstverein Göttingen
In cooperation with Sakuku e.V.

The workshop Arranging and Rearranging Memory takes place in the context of the exhibition Memories of a canary by Maha Yammine. During three afternoons we will focus on the interconnections of individual and collective memories and their impact on the present and the future. During a visit to the exhibition with the artist you will get an insight into her work. Afterwards, together with workshop leaders from Sakuku e.V., you can become active and tell your own stories with different artistic methods – writing, embroidery, pottery. The focus will be around the following questions: How do individual memories develop and how are they embedded in collective memory processes? Which memories get more attention than others? Who speaks? Who is listened to? How can we break free from limiting narratives and tell our own stories?
